Graham Trelstad, AICP, is director of Planning for the firm's Hudson Valley office, with more than 15 years of experience.

Mr. Trelstad specializes in community and regional planning, environmental impact assessment, integrated transportation and land use planning, and visual impact assessment. He has extensive experience in regional and environmental planning, and serves as the planning consultant to a number of towns and villages throughout the Hudson Valley. His community planning experience includes preparation of comprehensive plans, zoning studies and code amendments, special area plans, and site plan and subdivision application review.

Mr. Trelstad has completed several regional planning studies that: integrate land use with transportation and traffic management (including a study that projected land use build-out and traffic volumes for a six-community area in southeastern Orange County); combine land use planning, economic development, and water quality protection in the New York City watershed area; and consider regional tourism strategies in rural communities.

Mr. Trelstad’s visual impact assessment experience includes expert testimony and preparation of numerous visual impact analyses for telecommunication and radio towers, power transmission lines, and large commercial or residential development projects.

Mr. Trelstad graduated with a B.A. in Urban Studies from Columbia University and received an M.E.S. from the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
