Revision to the New York State NOx RACT Regulations at 6 NYCRR Part 227-2
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) revised the nitrogen oxides (NOx) Reasonably Achievable Control Technology (RACT) regulations at 227-2, effective July 8, 2010, for major combustion installations emitting NOx. By January 1, 2012 (the RACT compliance date), a facility must submit either a modified permit application or a RACT analysis (more).
Proposed Air Pollution Transport Rule
On July 6, 2010, USEPA proposed a rule that will require 31 states and the District of Columbia to significantly improve air quality by reducing power plant emissions that contribute to ozone and fine particle pollution in other states (more).
Proposed Revisions to the New Source Performance Standards for Engines at 40 CFR 60 IIII and 40 CFR 60 JJJJ
In a June 8, 2010 Federal Register notice, USEPA proposed revisions to the New Source Performance Standards that were originally published in 2006 for new compression ignition and spark ignition stationary internal combustion engines.
