AKRF's Landscape Architecture Practice provides a full array of design and master planning services.
Our Landscape Architects possess an uncommon skill set which combines technical know-how, aesthetic
design talent, and analytical problem solving. The use of graphic communication and three dimensional
visioning skills is fundamental to our ability to facilitate communication between professionals and
stakeholders, as well as between allied disciplines. These skills, along with specialized knowledge
and project experience are applied to each phase of the design process, from the early planning
through construction.
There is no typical project. Each project is unique in its complexity and subject matter.
Our project work addresses a wide range of scales from urban site design and master planning to
campus design and greenway planning. Landscape Architecture may be a project's driving force,
as is usually the case when designing a park or streetscape improvements. It may be a secondary
focus or a minor aspect of a larger environmental project. Or, it may be a tool used for mitigation
of negative impacts of construction related disturbance. Regardless of the level of involvement,
AKRF's Landscape Architects recognize and address the intricate and dynamic relationship between
the natural environment, human culture, and technology common to every project.
