Riverside South Development/Riverside South Park, New York, NY
The firm prepared infrastructure studies for the Trump Organization's proposed Riverside South project. AKRF prepared the design plans, construction documents, and design calculations for the piping and infrastructure required to implement a completely new and separate drainage and sewer system to support the development of this large tract of land. In addition, the firm designed the utilities required to support the new buildings in the development. The water mains, drainage systems, and sanitary systems were developed in accordance with NYCDEP procedures. AKRF prepared the new buildings’ design and construction drawings for the electric and high pressure gas service installations for review and approval by Con Edison. AKRF is also responsible for the design of Hudson River Park’s infrastructure elements adjacent to the development. The park's drainage and grading design required that runoff directed to the Hudson River be consistent with existing conditions and regulatory controls; its low-lying topography required a pumping station and force main connection to transport sanitary sewer flows from the park to the City's sewer system.
