AKRF Providing Statewide Air Quality Analysis for NYSDOT
AKRF provided air quality analysis and related services statewide for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) under an on-call contract that began in March 1998 and was re-awarded in 2003.
The firm was retained to consult, advise, and undertake special air quality projects related to traffic and transportation, and conformance with the State Implementation Plan (SIP) for air quality and energy usage. The firm also provided regulatory assistance, model development, statistical analysis, interpretation of data, litigation support, and other services.
AKRF prepared a number of air quality analyses for various NYSDOT regions, and completed several high-profile projects, including developing Emission Control Strategies for the Downstate New York Metropolitan Area, performing Regional Emissions Analysis-IAM Modeling, and developing Energy and CO2 Analysis Guidelines.
