Engineering Support for New York City’s Department of Design and Construction
AKRF is part of a multi-disciplinary environmental engineering team under a term contract to provide on-call Environmental Assessment Statements (EASs) and engineering support to the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) infrastructure division for various projects throughout New York City. The services AKRF provides under this contract include:
- Environmental assessments
- Roadway and intersection design
- Damage and acquisition mapping
- Stormwater drainage design and permitting
- Water quality analyses
- Traffic analyses
- Permitting and agency coordination
- Preliminary Design Investigation (PDI) report preparation
- Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) mapping
To date, task orders have included:
- Preparation of an environmental review, PDI, and acquisition map for the reconstruction of Todt Hill Road, and the intersections of Amboy and Annadale Roads, and Amboy Road and Arden Avenue in Staten Island
- An environmental review, ULURP application, and final alteration maps for proposed outfall and roadway construction projects in the Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island
- Construction documents associated with the reconstruction numerous roads and intersections in Staten Island
