Gary Bickle is head of the firm’s New Jersey office. He has over 35 years of experience in feasibility studies, environmental assessments, emergency response planning, and regulatory compliance.
Mr. Bickle has prepared numerous environmental assessments and compliance reports to satisfy National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) guidelines and regulatory requirements throughout the United States. He specializes in permit procurement and regulatory compliance relating to environmental activities, including compliance with various elements of the Clean Water Act (e.g., Sections 404, 316(b), 316(a), 401, and 402) wetlands restoration, hazardous waste remediation efforts, spill prevention and countermeasures, and pollution prevention.
Mr. Bickle recently served as the permitting manager for a 10,000-acre wetland restoration project along the Delaware Estuary securing approximately 300 local state and federal permits required to support the largest privately funded restoration in the United States. He has also published several articles on wetland evaluation, stormwater management, and other issues
Mr. Bickle earned a B.S. in biology from Juniata College and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University; he completed course work for a Ph.D. in city and regional planning at the University of Pennsylvania.
