George Penesis, PE, AICP

George excels at steering large-scale, complex projects through the environmental review process, frequently serving as principal-in-charge.

George is a civil/mechanical engineer and planner who brings innovative solutions and a comprehensive understanding of environmental issues, regulatory requirements, and public concerns to his environmental, infrastructure, and transportation planning work. George has served as principal-in-charge/director for many of the firm’s on-call contracts with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, New York City Transit, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

He has lectured at the City College of New York and served in leadership roles in professional organizations including the local chapters of the American Planning Association and National Society of Professional Engineers.
