Nina Peek, AICP, leads the firm’s Hudson Valley planning and environmental practice based in White Plains, New York. Since joining AKRF in 2012, Nina has provided a broad range of public- and private-sector clients with land use planning, public engagement, and environmental consulting services. Her work has included municipal planning services, including site plan reviews, zoning code updates, grant writing, and transit-oriented development plans; environmental impact reviews pursuant to SEQRA and NEPA guidelines; new multi-use trailways and trailway master plans; and open space and farmland protection plans. She also managed the preparation of several New York Rising Community Reconstruction Plans on behalf of the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery.
A longtime industry leader in the Hudson Valley with over 20 years of professional experience, Nina is President of the New York Planning Federation and a former Chairperson of the Town of Amenia Planning Board. She is a frequent speaker and presenter on contemporary planning and environmental issues, including her presentation on coastal planning and resiliency at the 2016 Pace Land Use and Sustainable Development Conference.
