Sandy Collins is a Senior Vice President specializing in natural resources assessments and local, state, and federal permit compliance for transportation, land use planning, water resources, and power generation and transmission projects. She has also conducted ecological studies and permitting for major waterfront parks like Brooklyn Bridge Park and Hudson River Park, coastal resiliency and adaptation studies, art installations, and other civic projects.
Her experience includes project management, project execution, and proposal and report preparation; designing and conducting field investigations to evaluate environmental impacts, including aquatic and terrestrial biota surveys, wetlands assessments, and rare, threatened, or endangered species surveys; water quality and environmental impact assessments, including potential adverse or beneficial impacts of stormwater management; and preparation of state and federal environmental permit applications.
Sandy earned a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University. She joined AKRF in 2002.
