Contractor Procurement for Connecticut River Bridge Replacement Scheduled for 2023

Amtrak announced it will commence contractor procurement in early-2023 to replace the Connecticut River Bridge, which will allow for better reliability and decreased delays for Amtrak, CTrail, and freight trains between Old Lyme and Old Saybrook. AKRF prepared the project’s Environmental Assessment pursuant to NEPA requirements, including a comprehensive alternatives development and screening process.
