FRA Signs Tier I EIS for Empire Corridor

The Federal Railroad Administration signed the Tier I Environmental Impact Statement prepared by HNTB, AKRF, and partners for a series of proposed system improvements to intercity passenger rail services along the 464-mile Empire Corridor between New York City and Niagara Falls. The EIS was prepared in accordance with SEQRA, NEPA, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act. Our work focused on noise and cultural resources analyses.
