Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Expansion Completed

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced completion of the $1.5 billion, 1.2 million-square-foot Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Expansion in Manhattan. AKRF was the primary author of the original Environmental Impact Statement to construct the Javits Center, and has a long history of planning and environmental services for the convention center’s expansion, which was first analyzed by the firm as part of the 2004 Hudson Yards Rezoning GEIS. Through subsequent planning and design refinements, AKRF led the preparation of technical memoranda in 2006 and 2016 to ensure proposed changes were considered in the context of the environmental findings.
