111 West 57th Street

111 West 57th Street is a 1,428-foot tower above Central Park in Midtown Manhattan with 46 full-floor and duplex residences. AKRF served as civil engineer for the building, preparing the Builders Pavement Plan, composite site and utility plan, and wastewater quality control application, among other project needs. We also provided permitting support with the New York City Department of Buildings, New York City Department of Transportation, New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, New York City Transit, and others. Since the luxury condominium tower incorporates the historic Steinway Building into its base, AKRF performed vibration monitoring of the historic landmark to protect it from vibrations during surrounding demolition and construction.
