Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail

The Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail is an 8-mile shared-use path connecting the Village of Cold Spring in Putnam County to the City of Beacon in Dutchess County, New York, and partially running within or adjacent to Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve. AKRF was responsible for the SEQRA environmental review, engineering design, and implementation of the master plan on behalf of Scenic Hudson in coordination with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Town of Philipstown. We also led an extensive public engagement process spanning two counties and five municipalities, and coordinated with State and regional agencies/authorities, municipalities, and various non-governmental organizations that have been working together to advance this project.

Newsworthy

The Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail will also reduce ecological stresses on popular hiking trails in the Hudson Valley.
