Audio Simulation & Collaboration Hub
For the construction of our own state-of-the-art audio simulation and collaboration hub in New York City, AKRF led full-service acoustical, audiovisual, security, and IT design for a flagship conference room, two huddle rooms, two ancillary offices, and an exhibition area. Comprising approximately 2,500 square feet, the new hub includes The PinDrop, a floating “room within a room” that provides a high level of acoustical isolation, an extremely low baseline level of sound, neutral sound response, and premium audio playback capability. The overall space includes digital signage and presentation displays, ceiling and table microphones, speakers, cameras, lighting, balanced power, and other hardware and software solutions to meet customer and user needs. AKRF also prepared graphics user interface concepts to customize the touch-panel layout. Services performed by AKRF included planning, programming, design, construction, commissioning oversight, and construction administration.
