MSK David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care
Memorial Sloan Kettering opened a $1.5 billion, 750,000-square-foot cancer treatment facility in Manhattan in 2019.
AKRF prepared the Environmental Impact Statement, consulted on sound attenuation, and provided site assessment/remediation services. We also prepared and secured a NYSDEC Facility Registration and several NYCDEP work permits and certificates to operate for the facility’s boilers, natural gas fired microturbines, and stand-by fuel oil generators.
AKRF’s PHA Division provided site access planning, loading planning, parking and loading design; prepared the builders pavement plan and site connection proposal; and coordinated associated agency reviews and approvals.
The outpatient facility occupies 25 floors with 231 exam rooms, 110 infusion rooms, 37 procedure rooms, and 16 inpatient beds. The design was led by Perkins Eastman and Ennead.
