NYU Langone Kimmel Pavilion and Energy Building
In 2018, NYU Langone opened the Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion and its independent Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital.
AKRF prepared the CEQR Environmental Assessment Statement and provided site assessment/remediation services for the 21-story, 830,000-square-foot building designed by Ennead and NBBJ. The Kimmel Pavilion features 374 single-patient rooms and 30 operating and procedure rooms, and its design earned LEED Platinum certification.
We also provided air quality permitting and the environmental justice analysis for a new 71,000-square-foot combined heat and power Energy Building and six new emergency generators.
