RXR/LIU Celebrate Groundbreaking in Downtown Brooklyn

RXR Realty and Long Island University celebrated the groundbreaking of their public-private project to build a new residential building, athletic field, fitness and wellness facilities, and academic spaces in Downtown Brooklyn. AKRF has provided geotechnical and civil engineering, site assessment and remediation services, and acoustical consulting for the project. Up to 30 percent of the units in the rental building will likely be “affordable housing” and the development will serve to strengthen local institutions and the community.
