Axel has designed and managed large-scale investigations and cleanups for various types of properties and industries across the country and prepared Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plans for over 100 individual facilities.
Axel has experience in various site assessment techniques involving subsurface soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations. He has been involved in all aspects of remediation, including those related to manufactured gas plants. His work has included sites under various regulatory programs such as the New York State’s Voluntary Cleanup Program and Brownfield Cleanup Program, its Spill Response Program, the New York City E-Designation program, New Jersey’s Industrial Site Recovery Act, and Pennsylvania’s Land Recycling program.
