Benjamin is a mechanical engineer specializing in architectural, environmental, and musical acoustics for architects, developers, engineers, and other clients in the design and construction community.

Benjamin directs the Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration Group, providing innovative consulting services focused on architectural acoustics, environmental noise and vibration, and mechanical systems. His proficiency in sound and vibration measurements include building acoustics tests, architectural acoustics from the design and layout of interior spaces, and noise and vibration issues in mechanical design.

Benjamin has considerable experience addressing the New York City Noise Control Code, Department of Buildings Code, and noise E-Designation compliance. He also provided technical assistance to the New York City Department of Environmental Protection to update the noise methodology for the City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) Technical Manual. Benjamin has lectured on noise issues at New York University, served as a guest on The Brian Lehrer Show, and been interviewed in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
