Maureen is currently heading efforts concerning individual incidental take permits for clients in the energy and industrial sectors.
Maureen heads the firm’s 316(b) practice (part of the Clean Water Act’s regulation of the use of industrial cooling water) and is an environmental permitting and regulatory specialist with broad experience resolving environmental issues affecting the utility industry. She has developed successful compliance strategies for water intake structures at power plants and other facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes regions. For these efforts she manages the preparation of permit applications and environmental assessments under state and federal programs for water discharge permits, wetlands permits, and coastal zone management act consistency determinations, and is currently focusing on individual incidental take permits. She also prepares comments and proposed amendments on pending legislation and regulations.
Maureen worked for many years for Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), a major energy company based in New Jersey.
