Sonny focuses on contract management and design for large-scale green infrastructure projects throughout the watersheds of New York City. He is also a Certified Floodplain Manager.
Sonny oversees multiple GI contracts for New York City agencies, evaluating over 7,000 acres of combined sewer overflow watershed in New York City to site and design over 1,600 GI practices within public properties and rights-of-way. His experience includes creating award-winning GI designs for New York Botanical Garden’s Green Zone-East Gate, Green Materials Recycling Center, and Edible Academy projects. He is familiar with city agency processes and permitting requirements and specializes in hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, designing and planning site layout, grading, utility, landscaping and erosion, and sediment control for stormwater management. Sonny has also prepared Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and been involved with numerous Federal Emergency Management Agency projects.
