Well Farm at Voris Field Earns Prestigious U.S. Water Prize

Greenprint Partners was presented with the prestigious U.S. Water Prize from the U.S. Water Alliance for the Well Farm urban stormwater farm in Peoria, IL. AKRF served as design-builder for the project, and is now leading maintenance efforts and serving as scientific lead for site-performance evaluation over a multi-year period. The farm was established by a $1 million conservation innovation grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture to Fresh Coast Capital, a Chicago-based company that sets up green infrastructure projects across the country. Partners in the Well Farm project include the city of Peoria, the GITM Foundation, and AKRF.
