New York Botanical Garden Edible Academy
The award-winning Edible Academy opened in 2018 at the New York Botanical Garden.
The 5,300-square-foot classroom building and propagation greenhouse provides programming for schools, families, and the general public as an expansion of the Ruth Rea Howell Vegetable Garden.
AKRF served as civil engineer for the $28 million project designed by Cooper Robertson. Our design included permeable pavement and other materials for stormwater management through infiltration and retention.
