AKRF has worked extensively on new buildings, expansions, and renovations for cultural institutions.
Our longtime clients include the American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and New York Public Library.
We have also worked for The Brandt Foundation, Dia Art Foundation, Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Queens Public Library, Irish Arts Center, and other museums, galleries, libraries, theaters, and performing arts centers.
Recent Milestones
In recent years the acclaimed Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education and Innovation opened at the American Museum of Natural History, The Frick Collection reopened following a transformative renovation and enhancement, design plans were revealed for the new Oscar L. and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the New York Public Library’s Melrose Branch reopened in the Bronx.
Design plans were recently unveiled for the Lincoln Center West initiative.
