Battery Playscape
Battery Playscape is a 1.5-acre ecology-oriented playground that opened in December 2021.
AKRF provided cultural resources consulting for the new playground in Lower Manhattan, including a Phase 1B archaeological investigation; identifying possibly intact, National Register-eligible Battery Wall remains; consulting with SHPO and the Landmarks Preservation Commission; and preparing the Memorandum of Agreement and Work Plan/Monitoring Plan.
