Enhancing livability through the replacement of aging infrastructure
Roads & Highways
Streets, roads, and highways are among the most challenging assets for municipalities and other government entities to manage but opportunities for improvement can be found around every corner. Local streets in New York City, New Rochelle, Harrisburg, and other places are undergoing a variety of improvements planned and designed by AKRF such as new Complete Streets multimodal accommodations, enhanced streetscape treatments, “shared street” strategies, Vision Zero safety improvements, and the implementation of green stormwater infrastructure.
