AKRF is committed to the development and preservation of affordable, senior, and supportive housing.

We have contributed to over 200 housing-related projects currently in planning, design, construction, or occupancy throughout our geographic footprint.

Our firm works on projects of all scopes and sizes, from single-use buildings like Tres Puentes, Willows at Saddlebrook, and Stonewall House to large-scale, mixed-use developments with housing components like Essex Crossing and La Central.

AKRF has also worked on multiple Permanent Affordability Commitment Together projects for the New York City Housing Authority and its private partners encompassing over 17,000 apartments in 360 buildings.

Recent Milestones

In 2025, Sendero Verde won a ULI New York Award for Excellence, HELP ONE and Bridge Rockaway won AIA New York State Excelsior Awards, Casa Celina won an AIA New York Design Awards Citation for Affordable Housing, and Atlantic Chestnut 2 won an ACEC New York Engineering Excellence Gold Award.

Bridge Rockaway won an Impact for Community Investment Award from the Citizens Housing & Planning Council in 2025.
