The Milstein Center serves as the academic hub in the heart of Barnard College's campus in Manhattan.

The 128,000-square-foot building, which opened in late 2018, features an expanded library and media facilities, flexible learning and classroom spaces, and a computational science center.

AKRF prepared the SEQRA Environmental Assessment and we coordinated with SHPO on its review of the project under the New York State Historic Preservation Act. AKRF also prepared a Construction Protection Plan for Barnard Hall and Historic American Buildings Survey documentation for LeFrak Gymnasium within Barnard Hall, which was used as swing space during construction.

We led vibration and crack monitoring during construction and also consulted on construction noise and vibration for Barnard College.
