East End Studios
East End Studios opened in 2025 in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Queens.
The $275 million facility, for which AKRF served as acoustical consultant, includes three full-service, ground-floor soundstages totaling 75,000 square feet and a 15,000-square-foot rooftop flex-stage. The stages are supported by 125,000 square feet of production, office, and mill spaces.
The project was designed by Gluck+ and developed by East End Capital.
Extensive Design Collaboration
From the initial environmental noise and vibration survey to the final vibration isolator adjustments, AKRF collaborated closely with the design and construction teams to ensure the completed project would set the standard for sound stage acoustical performance.
Acoustical Renderings
We hosted project stakeholders in our PinDrop acoustical rendering suite to experience the project’s acoustical design firsthand and confirm it met the ownership team’s expectations for high-performance sound stages.
