Irish Arts Center

The program for this $60 million building at 726 Eleventh Avenue in Manhattan includes a 199-seat performing arts space and studios, classrooms, exhibition space, and a café, and an adjacent historic building is being restored for additional space.

AKRF prepared the CEQR Environmental Assessment Statement, provided environmental site assessment/remediation consulting, prepared the Construction Protection Plan, and performed construction monitoring. The building was designed with consultation and support from Ireland’s Office of Public Works.

We’re now supporting a second phase of the project to renovate the center’s original 51st Street home as a complement to the new building. The renovation will expand the institution’s capacity for performing arts, education, and community programming along with a new workspace for staff.
