Developing a billion-dollar resiliency project along 2.4 miles of Manhattan coastline
Permitting & Compliance
Government permits and approvals are designed to balance smart and sustainable growth with environmental protection and public safety. AKRF specializes in the preparation of thorough permitting, compliance, and regulatory analysis and documentation at the local, county, state, and federal levels of government.
Our experience spans natural resources, cultural resources, air quality, noise, and other environmental disciplines, including multimedia permitting for the full complement of air, water, and land resources. This includes Section 316(b) compliance with the Clean Water Act, which requires that cooling water intake structures of power plants and other facilities minimize adverse environmental impacts. In New York City we prepare remedial action plans and installation reports for properties with E-Designations for noise, air quality, and hazardous materials.
Additionally, our regulatory efforts for real estate and land development projects often calls for permitting applications to city/municipal entities focused on transportation, utilities, infrastructure, emergency services, and building safety.
