Compass Residences at West Farms
Compass Residences is transforming an underutilized manufacturing district in the Bronx.
The West Farms Redevelopment Plan rezoned an 11-block, 17-acre area along Sheriden Boulevard from industrial to mixed uses. The smart-growth project by Monadnock Development will include 10 mixed-use buildings with over 1,300 affordable residential units, 46,000 square feet of new retail space, and a new public school.
Addressing noise and hazardous materials
AKRF provided E-Designation consulting services to meet New York City Office of Environmental Remediation requirements for noise and hazardous materials.
We performed initial site investigations and guided one of the sites through the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program; the site received a Certificate of Completion in 2024.
