Atrium at Sumner, a new affordable housing project in Brooklyn, opened to residents in 2024.

AKRF provided civil engineering and permitting for the 11-story, 190-unit building, which includes units set aside for seniors who formerly experienced homelessness. The $132 million building also features a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly Center on the ground floor.

Atrium at Sumner was designed by Studio Libeskind and developed by Urban Builders Collaborative, RiseBoro Community Partnership, and Selfhelp Community Services in collaboration with the New York City Housing Authority, Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and Housing Development Corporation.
