Micron Megafab Facility

Micron plans to invest $100 billion over a 20-year period on the largest semiconductor fabrication plant in U.S. history.
As part of a consultant team, AKRF is providing planning and environmental consulting under the National Environmental Policy Act and New York State Environmental Quality Review Act for Micron’s proposed $100 billion chip manufacturing campus in Clay, NY, which will be developed over 20 years with four semiconductor fabrication plants.
Our work includes natural resources permitting with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including major surveys for threatened and endangered species; cultural resource assessments including State Historic Preservation Office and National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 review and Tribal Nation consultation; Phase l and Phase ll investigations; visual assessments; and economic impact and induced development assessments.
