New York Statewide Curb Ramp Design
Pedestrian curb ramps provide safe access for pedestrians navigating sidewalks and streets.
AKRF is providing the New York State Department of Transportation with final design services for constructing, updating, and rehabilitating pedestrian curb ramps to conform to the latest ADA standards under a statewide term agreement.
The term agreement has included one dozen task orders through the end of 2025 with over 1,000 pedestrian ramps in the Capital District, Southern Tier, North Country, and Western New York regions.
Several task orders have included additional civil engineering work such as curb bump outs, drainage improvements, and sidewalk improvements
