An expansion and renovation of the Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn is expected to open in 2025.

Houghton Associates provided acoustical design for the 1100 Architect-designed project prior to Ben joining AKRF.

The school purchased an adjoining building, which will provide space for the Lower School including music rooms on the lower level and art and science classrooms in addition to faculty space and general-purpose classrooms. The project is expected to meet LEED Gold certification, including acoustics credits.

Renovation of the existing building will include an infill area to provide space for a new Library, STEAM teaching area, and Learning Commons, and will include extensive renovations including the cafeteria, classrooms, and faculty areas.
