Virginia Statewide Flood Protection Master Plan
AKRF is part of the consultant team preparing a statewide flood protection master plan on behalf of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The plan will include a summary of current and future flood impacts across the Commonwealth; an understanding of data and resource gaps; resilience metrics for state agencies and an actionable strategy to achieve a shared vision and goals; and flood resilience resources for state and local use.
AKRF is contributing to the development of environmental and natural resources data for the asset inventory and supporting development of the impact methodology with a focus on inputs related to potential flooding impacts on environmental assets and natural resources.
