Landscape Planning & Design
Expertise
AKRF’s landscape planning and design group is led by seasoned landscape architects and designers who have an in-depth understanding of the multi-phased process required for the design of complex projects. We see each project as an opportunity to provide thoughtful, creative and efficient solutions. Whether it involves recreational open space, wetlands restoration, infrastructure planning, or implementation of large development projects, our goal is to improve the quality of the physical environment.
While the landscape planning and design group’s focus is on the design of spaces, both in urban settings and integrated into natural systems, our work is regularly intertwined with other in-house disciplines. Our landscape architects and designers work alongside AKRF’s planners, engineers and environmental professionals to add value to projects with varying objectives including storm water management, public outreach, environmental review, and permitting.
Clients benefit from AKRF’s broad project experience, understanding of the design and construction process, and our diverse group of in-house professionals—from historians and archaeologists to engineers and natural resources specialists.
