Cultural

AKRF has worked extensively on new buildings, expansions, and renovations for cultural institutions, including museums, galleries, libraries, theaters, and performing arts centers.

Our longtime New York City clients include the American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and New York Public Library, and we have worked for The Brandt Foundation, Dia Art Foundation, The Studio Museum, Queens Public Library, and many others. In New York’s Hudson Valley, our projects have included the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, an expansion of the Irvington Town Hall Theater, and projects for the Mount Kisco Library, Southeast Museum/Theater, Merestead Estates, and Westchester Children’s Museum.

Recent openings of our projects include the Museum of Modern Art in 2019 and Irish Arts Center in 2021.
