Bringing green, sustainable energy to Long Island
Green & Renewables
AKRF is contributing to a variety of green and renewable energy projects throughout the eastern United States, including offshore wind, solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and biogas projects. We are considered among the consultants of choice to tackle a wide range of complex, controversial, and time-sensitive green and renewable energy projects — and deliver solutions with substantial, measurable value.
Among other efforts, AKRF is providing air quality and underwater acoustics consulting for Ørsted Wind Power North America’s proposed Skipjack Wind Farm in the Atlantic Ocean northeast of Ocean City, Maryland; preparing environmental analysis and documentation for a 316 MW energy storage system at the LS Power Helix Ravenswood Generating Station in Long Island City, Queens; and providing environmental permitting and consulting services to FuelCell Energy for three utility-scale fuel cell projects totaling approximately 40 MW on Long Island.
