Empire Wind Offshore Wind Farm Approved

The U.S. Department of the Interior approved the Empire Wind offshore wind project located about 12 nautical miles south of Long Island and about 16.9 nautical miles east of Long Branch. The project will build up to 147 wind turbines with a total capacity of 2,076 megawatts of renewable energy. AKRF is part of the ICF consultant team who worked with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and Equinor to prepare the Environmental Impact Statement.
