Amtrak Advances Susquehanna River Rail Bridge Replacement

Amtrak awarded contracts to advance replacement of the existing 117-year-old Susquehanna River Rail Bridge — the longest moveable bridge on the Northeast Corridor and a critical facility used by Amtrak, MARC, and Norfolk Southern. AKRF led the preparation of the NEPA Environmental Assessment evaluating the bridge’s replacement, including key transportation, aquatic and natural resources, cultural resources, and construction analyses.
