Broad Channel Phase II Earns Envision Verified Award for Sustainability

The New York City Department of Design and Construction earned an Envision Verified Award for Sustainability from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure for the Broad Channel Phase II infrastructure improvements in Queens. AKRF prepared the Environmental Assessment Statement and permitting for improvements to reduce flooding in an area frequently inundated by the Jamaica Bay during high tides and storms.
