Clean Path NY Transmission Line Recommended for New York State Award

Clean Path NY – a proposed 1,300 megawatt, 174-mile power transmission line serving New York City – was one of two projects recommended for award under New York State’s competitive  solicitation to increase the delivery of renewable electricity to high-demand areas in Downstate New York. The developer is Forward Power (a joint venture of Invenergy and energyRe) and the New York Power Authority. AKRF helped the CPNY team estimate a percentage of the project’s air quality benefits that could be realized in the city, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
