Construction Begins on Flood Protection Wall at Metropolitan Hospital

Construction began on a new flood protection wall at New York City’s Metropolitan Hospital, one of several hospitals damaged by contaminated floodwaters during Superstorm Sandy. AKRF led the Environmental Assessment to secure $120 million in federal funding for the flood wall and other resiliency improvements.
