Vision Unveiled for New York Climate Exchange on Governors Island

Congratulations to the Trust for Governors Island, Stony Brook University, SOM, and many other partners on unveiling a vision for the New York Climate Exchange on Governors Island. The rezoning of Governors Island’s South Island in 2021 – for which AKRF led the environmental review – paved the way for the new climate center along with other mixed-use development to activate Governors Island for 24/7 use. The $700 mil­lion cam­pus will be ded­i­cat­ed to research­ing and devel­op­ing inno­v­a­tive cli­mate solu­tions.
