Amy’s Kitchen Manufacturing Facility and Science of the Soul Conference Center

Amy’s Kitchen officially broke ground for a new 369,000-square-foot food manufacturing facility on an approximately 60-acre property in the Town of Goshen in June 2019. AKRF prepared the Environmental Impact Statement pursuant to SEQRA requirements and facilitated environmental permitting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New York State Department of Environmental Protection. Of particular concern on this site were potential impacts to the northern long-eared and Indiana bat species, for which we prepared a bat biological assessment (including specialized acoustical surveying) and identified mitigation measures to avoid impacts to these species. AKRF also provided site assessment/remediation consulting services for this redevelopment adjacent to a former landfill subject to a groundwater monitoring program by NYSDEC.

In conjunction with the Amy’s Kitchen application, Science of the Soul plans to construct a conference center on a 195-acre adjacent property comprising an approximately 200,000-square-foot open-air pavilion, an 80,000-square-foot multipurpose and family area building, a 38,000-square-foot central building, and a maintenance barn, caretaker residences, guest house, and parking areas.
