The Carolina

The Carolina is a new 100% affordable housing and mixed-use building along Park Avenue and East 108th Street in East Harlem with 400 residential units, 38,000 square feet of community facility space, and 4,000 square feet of retail space. Architectural design of the 15-story building features a stepped profile and includes implementation of New York City’s Active Design Guidelines. The Carolina is also home to the Northside Center for Child Development’s new headquarters. AKRF prepared the Environmental Assessment Statement pursuant to CEQR requirements, and provided noise E-Designation and site assessment/remediation services.
